Should you pay attention to other people's prices? Part Two.

Should you look? If you do look, now what?

When it comes to what to charge you are often told to find out what your competitors are charging. That kind of thinking misses two important LOA points:

1. It's not a competitive world, it's a cooperative one.
2. You can be, do, or have anything you want.

That being said, it is a great idea to check out the prices of other people in your field if:

1. You feel called to do it (inspired action).
2. You are stuck deciding on your current pricing and you need some more input for clarity (the data gathering phase of conscious creation).

Both of these actions lead to solution. Inspired action is already on the side of solution. Decided to look at pricing so that you can get clarity for yourself is also a solution-focused mindset.

Solution mindset is key.

The goal is not to figure out what anyone else is doing, the goal is to decide and align with what YOU are doing.

So if, right now, you are stuck or feeling wobbly about your rate sheet or product prices and you want to look at what other people charge ask yourself:

Can I look at anyone else's prices and feel good?

Because if you are judging, pushing against, feeling bad about, or feeling small about what someone else is doing you are not connected. And when you are not connected you can't receive inspired solution or clarity.

Your goal is pricing clarity.

Over the years (and before I learned about LOA) I have charged more than I felt comfortable with and (right now) less than others wanted me to. I've tried it all. A lot of it was because I was tangled up in "worth", which is the topic of the next post. But I can tell you, and LOA agrees, when I feel great about what I am charging, clients find ME.

They still do.

Alignment is the most powerful marketing tool. 

So remember:

You don't need to be "industry standard".
You don't need anyone else to agree with you.

You don't need to be anything except ALIGNED with what you are charging.

And then you get to enjoy the expansion of your business, easily.
